Model Railroading in the Greater Grand Forks Area
You have arrived at the virtual home of the Greater Grand Forks Train Club. Our physical home is in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, at Casey Holt Junction on the grounds of Heritage Village. Contact us using our contact form.

Our Club at Casey Holt Junction
The Greater Grand Forks Train Club has a large HO scale layout in our club on the north side of East Grand Forks, MN. We also have two smaller N scale layouts along with a loop of Lionel track around the ceiling of our meeting room.
Our layout is DCC equipped using Digitrax command stations and boosters, duplex wireless, and is also equipped with stationary decoders for turnout control. We are currently working to get detection circuits completed with a goal of working signalling. You can see an engineer's view of our HO scale layout here.
Most members bring equipment from home to run on the layout. JMRI allows us to easily speed match and consist locomotives along with any other programming needs.
We also have a meeting room and shop area for working on rolling stock and locomotives, along with an extensive library. We are thankful for all that current and past members have contributed to get the club to where it is today and look forward to sharing with other modelers who live in or are passing through the area.

We welcome visitors of any age or experience level. You don't need to be a model railroader to come and see what we are doing. We are open to the public the first Tuesday of each month from 6-8 PM and the third Saturday of each month from 10 AM-2 PM.
